Dr. Tashi Dorjee Changbar hails from a family of Tibetan medicine practitoners, his grandfather Dr. Wangdak Changbar (late) was a famous doctor in eastern Tibet and continued his private practice in the exile in Kathmandu, Nepal till 1996.His uncle Dr. S.  Wangdu Changbar (late)was also an reknown Tibetan doctor who has served Men-Tsee-Khang for eleven years after graduating from the same Institute. He then went on to private practice in Delhi and Calcutta and travellled to Europe especially Scandanavia, Russia and U.S. A. to promote unique Tibetan healing science till 2001. Dr. Tashi Dorjee Changbar received the basic sacred art of healing theoretically and practically from his late grand father Dr. Wangdak Changbar and late uncle Dr. S. Wangdu Changbar. |

Interests and activities : |
Besides work I am engaged in research work on developing new breakthrough herbal medicine formulations for the prevailing diseases of diabetes,cancer, arthritis, hepatitis ,cholesterol, multiple sclerosis and thyroid problem. My interest are music, philosophy, global politics, psychology and research and developments.

Worked as a resident Doctor at the branch clinics of Men-Tsee-Khang,Boudhanath, kathmandu, (2002-2004) Tashi Palkhiel and Tashiling Tibetan Refugee Settlement camp, Pokhara,(2004-2005)
And currently working as a Resident doctor at the Chetrapati branch clinic of Men-Tsee-Khang(Year 2005- current)
The job mainly gives consultation, diagnosis and prescribing drugs and giving advises on diet and lifestyle to the patients with their respective illnesses according to the Tibetan Medicine and update them.
Travelling to the Riga, Latvia once a year at the invitation of the Sorig Meditation and Healing Centre, for the Seminar, lectures and consultation. |

Under my initiation, with guidance and support from Dr. Tsering Choekyi and Dr. Chime Dolkar of Buddha Herbal Medical Clinic, Boudhanath, Kathmandu, Nepal, we have been able to invent an Arthritic Tea and Pure Herbal Chest Supplement that is also a tea. These two teas are the result of our research and development program that are now available in the market, we are currently continuing our research on a new tea for obesity and other health problems. |
